Aeon PW
All

It has been a good run with Aeon, but all things run their course and come to an end. I have watched Aeon slowly grow then die off as people moved onto other interests or found worlds that appeal to them more. Instead of leaving the server up and running empty, I have decided to turn off the server and close the player portion of the forums.

I would like to thank those that have put in their time and effort, either as DM's, builders or players. Without your efforts a world can not exist or grow into something more than a concept.

So what next, for me I am not sure, perhaps I shall learn something else perhaps not. I do know my power bill will be smaller next month, so out of sad endings a positive comes.

Goodbye and Goodluck.

Tethys didn't hate anyone in the party so if Brissa didn't have any particular objection to her and you wanted some company I'll come with you if you want.

Well I guess Jaks saw a man who'd just killed his son and baby granddaughter, and had attempted to take his own life. So he was pretty scummy to begin with. Jaks stopped the bear from eating him, knowing that McDuffold had info pertinent to finding the bad guys. So she helped the situation along with what was most expedient. She stuck a blade in his wound to get him to talk. No one really complained at the time, so she thought everyone was on board.

Am totally happy for this to play out IC, but also respect that you need to be true to your character. I'm playing Jaks the same way, so am happy to bounce off you!

Cheers

I would suggest that in Brissa's case she could form a sub party. Yes it is horrendous on the DM's but being true to your Char is better. Send me a PM on this and we can discuss more.

Only just got home Spor, been for lunch and a swim! Gah its hot out there baby. Luckily the house we were at has air con.

If there is anyone that can crack some heads it is a dwarf - even if he is a weakling mage with a drinking problem Razz.

Well you will live in NZ. I mean, if you were serious about your RP and committed to Aeon, you'd relocate to Australia. Where all the really cool people live. Even those of us that used to be kiwi's........ Laughing

Wow.

Well that was a bit mad.

Thanks to all who got involved I hope you enjoyed it. I do appreciate feedback, so feel free to let rip here ...

I just wanted to say that my plots are generally dynamic, there was no right or wrong path through last nights event or indeed any of the previous weeks sessions. I like choices, I like consequences, I like dilemnas, this is what I try to provide. With this I aslo try to anticipate players actions, sometimes I get it right, sometimes wrong. This way I find the story evolves, so that both players and DMs have to roll with the punches so to speak.

I generaly plan a begining and an end, the rest is up to you guys.

Last night, there were ways of doing things that would have led to less deaths and ways of doing things that would have led to more deaths. Players constantly surprise me. So I apologise for not being as omnipotent as I would like, game mechanics had a little impact and that was my fault for not setting some things properly and/or getting lost in the plot to not be able to sort the issues out on the fly. I tend to miss small things when my brain is in hyperactive mode, lol (thanks for the tell from one of the players pointing out the blindingly obvious, I smacked my forehead several times).

As it happens I was in awe of the last remaining party member, it pays to be a small hin wearing black with exceptional skills at running away.

With regards to the plot, there were things to achieve and things that were inevitably unachievable, I think everyone did well considering the conflicts within the party and the plot was concluded to what I was aiming for, if in a rather chaotic and roundabout way.

Round of applause and group hug

jocolor

(Look out for the trailers for "Rosenby Strikes Back")

Your Pit Fiend was naughty lol. He kept sneaking out of the circle when your back was turned. Twisted Evil

I was sure we were going to get a TPK. Tethys died the earliest due to not being able to run when she got surrounded on the roof and I was lying there watching everyone else drop one by one having nfi what was going on lol.

Then Jaks managed to call Torch back from the dead with just her voice. I thought they were going to have this big romantic moment when she threw herself into his arms on the roof lol.

Was lots of fun, thanks. Smile

I remember Andy B sending me a tell when we were dead saying we probably doomed Spor's world by unleashing two terrible evils upon it. Embarassed

And Rosenby's still out there. Shocked
